The project “Construction of social housing in the town of Kardzhali” is one of the three projects included in the list of indicative main projects of the approved under Priority Axis 1 — “Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development” of OP “Regions in Growth” Investment Programme (IPA) for the implementation of the ICPLD of Kardzhali 2014-2020. The main objective of the project is by providing appropriate infrastructure to create conditions for promoting social inclusion and integration of vulnerable and disadvantaged groups of residents of Kardzhali municipality. The specific objectives of the project are related to the construction of social housing for socially vulnerable groups in the building of the former dormitory of the Construction Technical School in the town of Kardzhali and providing conditions for equal access to social services, education, employment, social inclusion and health care of disadvantaged groups of residents of Kardzhali municipality. The intervention building is located in the Public Functions Area of the IHLG and its modernisation will build 69 social housing. The target group of the project includes more than 210 inhabitants of Kardzhali municipality from vulnerable, minority and socially disadvantaged groups and other disadvantaged groups. The main activities of the project are related to the carrying out of construction and installation works in the building of the former dormitory of the Construction Technical School in the town of Kardzhali, supply of equipment, construction and author’s supervision. The project also provides for management, information and publicity and financial audit activities.
