With this project proposal, the Municipality of Kyustendil fulfils its strategic objective to formulate and find an adequate response to the complex challenges facing the system of social services for children at risk in the process of providing them in a natural family environment by developing on its territory flexible, alternative and meeting the dynamically changing needs of service users. The implementation of the project proposal will complement and support the activities of the successfully created under the Social Inclusion Project/PSV/Centre for Early Childhood Development Services (CSDDR). The 13-month experience from the work of the consultants is a guarantee for the quality provision of integrated medical and educational services for children and families in the community. Integrated early childhood development services will be aimed at children up to 7 years of age from vulnerable groups, including children with disabilities and their families, as well as future parents. This project proposal guarantees prevention of social exclusion and limiting transmission of poverty between generations. It aims at sustainability of the established good practices for early assessment of specific needs for support of families, specialised counselling on the basis of their resource opportunities, as well as reducing child poverty by investing in their early childhood development, prevention of subsequent institutionalisation or dropping out of education, social and psychological assistance and protection from family violence or abandonment. The project proposal will cover all possible target groups on the territory of the Municipality of Kyustendil, with adequate planning of the services, taking into account the increase in their demand from risk groups in the community. The planned activities will be carried out in the SDGDR offering medical and social and educational services according to the method of the integrated approach, by conducting, on schedule, individual and group sessions in the rooms for therapy and mobile work/working on the ground.
