The project “Effective improvement of the facilities in the educational infrastructure of Kyustendil Municipality” is a natural continuation of the project “Optimisation of the educational infrastructure for support of sustainable local development in Kyustendil Municipality” implemented during the 2007-2013 programming period. The project will build on and complement the results achieved during the 2007-2013 period, while supporting the implementation of the measures set out in the Investment Programme of the Municipality of Kyustendil regarding the group of activities “Educational infrastructure”. The project proposal provides for repairs and equipment for the only educational establishments that have not yet been the subject of intervention. The project also provides for an improvement in the energy efficiency of the buildings hosting the classes. The provision of modern conditions in the educational infrastructure will improve the quality of education and reduce the rate of early leavers from education. Renovation of the facilities will lead to an overall improvement of the learning process and will facilitate the introduction of new learning methods that increase and retain the interest of young people.
