The project proposal provides for the introduction of energy efficiency measures in a multi-family residential building block 7 in “Mayor Vishnyaev” on the territory of Malko Tarnovo. The planned activities include the implementation of the energy-saving measures prescribed by the consultant who carried out an energy audit of the building and the implementation of the guidelines and recommendations set out in the technical passport in order to achieve at least the energy consumption class “C” in buildings. Better performance of the building in the scope of intervention will significantly reduce the operational costs of buildings and contribute to the extension of the life cycle of each building. The project aims at implementing the following thematic objectives under the General Regulation 1303/2013: Thematic objective 4 ‘Supporting the shift towards a low-carbon economy in all sectors’. The interventions under the project proposal will contribute to the achievement of the indicative national energy saving targets for 2020 under the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan 2014-2020. The support aims to adequately address the problems related to increased migration to cities, better quality of life and cultural services offered and modernisation of public infrastructure in the town of Malko Tarnovo, as well as to stimulate urban-rural connections. Energy renovation activities will prolong the life of the building, reduce maintenance costs and help reduce greenhouse gases, stimulate people to stay in small settlements.
