The project provides for a multidisciplinary approach for the provision of social and health services by extending the scope of the activities of the Service Unit in Home Environment to the Domestic Social Patronage Municipality of Nessebar. In order to meet the complex needs of disadvantaged people and people with disabilities on the territory of the Municipality of Nessebar, a new type of health service will be introduced, as well as individualisation of services according to the needs of the users. This will ensure coverage of a larger number of people who will be able to benefit from hourly personal assistance, social support and utility activities. Part-time care and services of a new type will be provided. It will provide employment to unemployed people. Staff will be recruited to provide the services to the Unit in the positions of ‘Personal Assistant’ and ‘Home Assistant’. According to the possibilities and specific needs of users, 17 personal assistants and 8 domestic assistants will be appointed. Integrated specialised health services, including counselling and rehabilitation for people with disabilities, medical assistance will also be put in place. The project provides psychological support and counselling to service users and advice and supervision of the staff employed. For this purpose, the Unit will be recruited under an employment contract involving a social worker and a nurse. A comprehensive methodology for the activities of the Unit will be developed to regulate the type and method of providing the social service.
