The project “Support for independent living in the Municipality of Nova Zagora” aims to improve the quality of life and access to services for social inclusion of people with disabilities and persons over 65 years old, incapable of self-service, overcoming the consequences of social exclusion and poverty and the return to the real labour market of persons who care for their relatives with disabilities. The service will be provided by the Supported Service Unit of Domestic Social Patronage — Nova Zagora, created under the procedure “Home help” for the provision of hourly services for social inclusion in the community or in the home environment. It will be staffed to operate the service, consisting of a social worker and a social activity assistant, the provision of specialised services by a hired nurse to ensure an integrated approach to the provision of services. Approximately 62 persons will be employed for staff providing hourly social services who will serve 100 users from the target groups. The planned activities are in line with the requirements of the Managing Authority of OPHRD 2014-2020, and the results achieved will help facilitate access to social and health services, independent living and social inclusion of people in need with disabilities and persons over 65 years of age in inability to self-service.
