The project proposal provides for the introduction of energy efficiency measures in five multi-apartment buildings on the territory of Nova Zagora. The planned activities include the implementation of energy-saving measures prescribed by the consultant and the implementation of the guidelines and recommendations set out in the technical passport in order to achieve at least the energy consumption class “C” in the building. Better performance of the building in the scope of intervention will significantly reduce the operational costs of the building and contribute to the extension of its life cycle. The project aims at implementing the following thematic objectives under the General Regulation 1303/2013: Thematic objective 4 ‘Supporting the shift towards a low-carbon economy in all sectors’. The interventions under the project proposal will contribute to the achievement of the indicative national energy saving targets for 2020 under the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan 2014-2020. The modernisation and reconstruction of the housing stock aims to improve the quality of life on the territory of the town of Nova Zagora. Energy renovation activities will prolong the life of buildings, reduce maintenance costs and encourage people to stay in small settlements.
