“Ensuring adequate and effective social infrastructure by merging the existing”Day Center for Children with Disabilities“and”Centre for Social Rehabilitation and Integration“in the”Day Centre for Support of Children with Disabilities and their Families“in the Municipality of Pavlikeni”.

This project will optimise the Complex for Social Services in the town of Pavlikeni by bringing together a Day Care Centre for Children with Disabilities (DTCU) and Center for Social Rehabilitation and Integration (CSRIC) in the Day Care Centre for Children with Disabilities and their Families/DCSD/. It provides for the execution of construction repairs and the supply of equipment/furnishing for the creation of a Centre meeting the needs of the users and in accordance with the requirements of the regulations, in which will serve users from the municipalities of Pavlikeni and Suhindol. The project proposal provides for renovation works in the following DTCU premises: kitchen block, toilet for users, room for group work and a room for its establishment in a hall for medical fitness/rehabilitation/. Two playgrounds for children with disabilities and a sports playground with positioned equipment for children with disabilities will be built in the yard, just in front of the new center. By improving the facilities and restructuring of the two existing centres in the DCSD, a single management will be achieved by implementing separate programmes and building on existing activities in these services, as well as by including new activities such as: early intervention of disabilities, individual pedagogical support, mobile work, counselling, part-time care, working with children with mental problems, carrying out needs assessment, providing support for access to other services, etc. Through the implementation of the project, quality care will be provided for children and young people with disabilities, including severe disabilities, on the territory of the two municipalities. The project will help create the right conditions for the provision of the newly created social service, with a view to increasing the efficiency of existing services in DSTU and CSIS. The equipment purchased will additionally provide the necessary comfort to both users and staff providing the service.
