The project proposal includes implementation of development measures of 3 sites, set for implementation under priority “Urban environment” by the IP of the Municipality of Pernik, as follows:1.Construction of Teva quarter — activities are planned for construction of pedestrian alleys, recreation grounds, park furniture and landscaping of the inter-block spaces, including children’s and sports grounds, as well as the introduction of energy-saving lighting, providing the necessary number of parking spaces and creating an accessible urban environment for both disadvantaged people and parents with strollers.2.Park of the Challenges, Vonikovets area — for building an area for recreation and sports as alternative activities and entertainment for children and young people, located on a total area of 20 acres. The construction and separation of: scene for cultural events, playgrounds with different equipment according to age group of visitors, combined playground; climbing area; establishment of an outbreak site with flag pole and tent camp-part of “Scout Zone”, zone with routes for mountainbike; philosophical Stone Search Zone — a logical game; place for temporary braking of cars, including accessibility for disabled people and families with young children. In essence, the project uses the available natural resources — a green wooded area to turn it into an attractive park space by providing recreation areas and picnics and entertainment for visitors, playgrounds, gazebos and benches3. A bridge over the Struma River at Struma Street — for reconstruction and rehabilitation of an existing bridge facility, which is in an unsatisfactory condition (especially in the pedestrian area). The implementation of this site is intended to improve the transport — performance and bearing capacity of the facilities and road surfaces, for reliable drainage and to ensure convenient, safe and economical transport of people and goods while ensuring accessibility for persons with disabilities and in environmental protection.
