The project is aimed at the implementation of the process of deinstitutionalisation by replacing the institutional model of care with care in the family or close to the family environment in the community. Within the framework of this procedure, the municipality of Petrich should create four services, which are foreseen under the priority axis: New Center for Public Support, Repairs/furnishing/equipment of existing public support centers/day centers for children with disabilities/centres for social rehabilitation and integration, a new Family-type Accommodation Center for children and new Transitional Housing for children from 15 to 18 years old. The construction of the infrastructure for the four services is in line with the developed and approved by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy functional requirements and guidelines for building the infrastructure, in accordance with the relevant European documents for deinstitutionalisation and life in the community. The project will contribute to the provision of better quality social infrastructure in Petrich municipality, which is so far lacking. This will create conditions for the provision of effective social services in the community and the consequent reduction of existing forms of social exclusion. The renovated and built sites will provide more and better opportunities (capacity) for protection, social security, meeting daily needs, consulting and informing different target groups. One of the objectives of the reform is to ensure that every child has the right to access quality care and services in the community according to their individual needs.
