The project proposal is part of the Investment Programme for the implementation of the Integrated Plan for Urban Reconstruction and Development of Petrich Municipality 2014-2020. With its implementation it will contribute to stimulating the economic development of the city and improving the energy efficiency in public buildings. The project is aimed at implementing energy efficiency measures in the building of the municipal administration — Petrich. The site of intervention falls within the construction boundaries of the town of Petrich. The project activities will contribute directly to the reduction of final energy consumption and indirectly — to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in public buildings. The planned activities include the introduction of the prescribed by the consultant who carried out an energy audit of the buildings, energy saving measures and implementation of the guidelines and recommendations reflected in the technical passport in order to reach at least the energy consumption class “C” in the building. Better performance of the building in the scope of intervention will significantly reduce the operational costs of the building and contribute to the extension of its life cycle. The project aims at implementing the following thematic objectives under the General Regulation 1303/2013: Thematic objective 4 ‘Supporting the shift towards a low-carbon economy in all sectors’. The interventions under the project proposal will contribute to achieving the indicative national energy saving targets for 2020 under the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan 2014-2020. Energy renovation activities will prolong the life of the building, reduce maintenance costs and help reduce greenhouse gases, stimulate people to stay in small settlements by improving the cultural, social and administrative environment.
