This project proposal addresses the needs of the municipality of Radomir for improving the quality of education services and improving access to education for children of pre-school age from marginalised groups, as well as implementing preventive measures to reduce the number of people not covered by the education system. To this end, a comprehensive integrated innovative mentoring and mentoring program (Sunce Programme) will be implemented to modernise the pedagogical toolkit and provide broad public support for the educational process, including among marginalised communities. This will be done by building expert and infrastructure capacity in kindergarten, at the initial stage of the project through training of local teachers and purchase of equipment and didactic materials in accordance with the developed Programme. On this basis, clubs of interest will be set up, where children will be working to develop their knowledge and skills through interactive innovative practices — learning by playing. In parallel, it will work with the other target group — their parents/tutors, where through their involvement in the educational and gaming process and coaching sessions will work towards creating a social environment supporting education. To mobilise public support, as well as to promote communication and joint appearances between children from marginalised and non-marginalised groups, an Open Doors Week will be held annually. The project’s focus is on children from minority ethnic groups, but costs for children and their parents/guardians who are not representatives of marginalised groups are also included in order to achieve integration effect. The project will be implemented by the Municipality of Radomir (Beneficiary) and the “Sun” Directorate (Partner) for a total of BGN 271 723.20, of which 29 113.20 are indirect costs.
