The project “Improvement of the educational infrastructure through reconstruction/renovation, renovation and introduction of energy efficiency measures in schools and kindergartens in Haskovo” is part of the Investment Programme and the conducted policy of Haskovo Municipality, in which the improvement of the educational infrastructure, the improvement of the quality of life and sustainable development are set as top priorities. The activities to be implemented within the project are:- Organisation, management, and internal monitoring of the project;- Preparation of procurement documentation under the Public Procurement Act and conduct of procedures for selection of contractors; — Construction-installation and repair works. Refurbishment, refurbishment and introduction of energy efficiency measures in two primary schools and eight buildings of United childcare facilities are envisaged. The main activities to be implemented by type of work are: repair of WIK, heating, ventilation and EL installations. Replacement of lighting fixtures with energy-saving. Equipment of new boiler plants and construction of backyard gas installations for natural gas. New playgrounds and sports in kindergartens and school yards are being formed. Construction of accessible architectural environment in children’s facilities and outdoor elevators in school buildings;- Project supervision. During the execution of the construction activities, continuous construction and author’s supervision of the sites will be carried out until obtaining a permit for use of the sites or Certificate of commissioning;- Purchase and implementation of equipment for kindergartens — In kindergartens will be equipped premises for spills and where necessary for kitchens.- Publicity and communication on the project in order to inform the general public about the financial contribution of the ERDF;- Audit of the project- An independent financial audit of the costs incurred by the project activities will be carried out, including the implementation of public procurement.
