The present project proposal “Improving the urban environment through the development of inter-block and inner-quartal spaces and building an accessible architectural environment in Haskovo” is in full compliance with the Investment Programme and the conducted policy of Haskovo Municipality for improving the quality of life, social inclusion and improvement of the environmental environment. The main result that will be achieved with the realisation of the project is 50,000 sq. m. created and rehabilitated green areas on the territory of Haskovo and the creation of a comfortable aesthetically durable area for rest and entertainment, through the construction of play and recreation areas, as well as landscaping, drainage, lighting and reasphalisation of service streets and car parks. The main activities set for the successful implementation of the project are: — Organisation, management and internal monitoring to achieve the most efficient and transparent spending of the funds, as well as to coordinate the achievement of the objectives set out in the project;- Construction works of inter-block and internal-quartal spaces and construction of accessible architectural environment in Haskovo;- Exercise of author’s and construction supervision of the sites until obtaining permission for use of the sites/certificate for commissioning; Publicity and communication of the project in order to inform the general public about the ERDF’s financial contribution; — An independent financial audit of the costs incurred by the activities of the project, including the conduct of public procurement.
