This project proposal represents the second phase of the project “Integrated Water Cycle for the City of Shumen — Phase II” and includes two sub-sites whose implementation has started under OP Environment 2007-2013, but due to objective circumstances it could not end in the 2007-2013 programming period. The projects to be financed under phase II of the project are as follows: LOT 1: Construction of a biological step with nitrogen and phosphorus removal for WWTP 3: Construction of Divdiadovo with pressure manifold in phase II of the project, within LOT 1 it is expected to implement the construction activities of the following sites:-Dewatering of sludge with chamber filter press — Administrative-laboratory building — Vertical planning, landscaping-Electro and SCADA — Square communications and roads, replacement of lead water supply and installation of the following machinery equipment for VRA and biological laboratory. The installation of machinery delivered during phase I will be carried out. In phase II of the project, the following activities will be carried out within LOT 3:-Construction activities and supplies in connection with the implementation of a leading collector to the KPS-Divdyadovo, casting channel, rain overflow — Supply and installation of equipment under part Heating and ventilation of KPS — Activities under part Vertical planning, Landscaping, External power supply — Road works — Strengthening of irrigation canal, etc. In the second phase as eligible activities are provided for construction supervision and author’s supervision. In addition, the implementation of information and publicity activities, separation of PIUs, activities related to support for project management and audit are foreseen. The above activities will be at the expense of the beneficiary. As a result of phase II, improvement of the quality of life of the population on the territory of Shumen, overcoming the health and environmental risks and providing quality environmental services to citizens as a main target group will be achieved.
