The project aims at providing quality care for persons with disabilities, including with severe multiple disabilities and their families on the territory of Shumen Municipality. To achieve this goal, a Day Care Centre will be established for the support of persons with disabilities and their families, including with severe multiple disabilities, which will provide comprehensive support for the target groups by providing integrated social and health services in the community. The following specialised services will be provided in Shumen DCLUTM: quality care for persons with disabilities, including severe multiple disabilities and their families, and support, including carers for the targeted persons; providing short-term replacement care services by supporting families caring for persons with disabilities; support through measures and integrated approaches to motivate and promote the labour market participation of dependants and carers. The effective functioning of the Centre will be ensured by a highly qualified and trained team for its management, consisting of specialists with experience in the field of healthcare, social and advisory work, psychological and therapeutic support.
