For the future of our village

The aim of our project entitled “For the future of our village” is to implement various events and programmes by public education institutions in order to increase the retention power of rural settlements, namely Bágyogszovát and Rábapordány. On the one hand, our target groups are students attending schools in Rábapordány and Bágyogszovát, with a total of 170 people being directly involved in the programmes. In addition, target groups are those living in the municipalities involved in the project. We plan to directly involve around 300 people in the project period from 1 August 2017 to 31 July 2019. The schools in these settlements cooperate with local governments, the Konyi school, the Győr Birkózó Club, traditional and other civil society organisations. A total of 19 cooperation agreements have been signed in which the co-operating parties undertake to support school and community programmes. The consortium partner of the Sopron School District Center is the Premontre Abbey of Csorna. The teaching of Catholic faith and ethics in school is carried out by them. They have a very good relationship with the school in Bágyogszovát, and they have already helped them to compile the project. In addition to the access to the church’s built heritage, they also undertake cooperation in programmes such as the undeserved soul in the Ép body, or the knowledge of church gardens, arboretums, such as parts of plant and landscape protection. Another consortium partner is the Rózsás Hunting Company, which aims to make the children and young people living here love, familiarise themselves with hunting, the forest, the beauty of their own environment and the importance of their protection. The project also helps to achieve these objectives: environmental programs, landscape walks, animal love, healthy lifestyle development. Common objective: cooperation to increase the number of programs available in the settlement, increase social activity with the active participation of families and volunteers. The teachers of the schools implementing the individual programmes, the professional staff have several years of experience in working with children and developing competence, giving priority to the continuous provision of lifelong learning, taking into account equal opportunities and environmental sustainability aspects. The school district centre undertakes to employ a professional manager in order to perform the professional tasks of the project in an appropriate manner. The professional leader Marica Bernadett Németh has several years of internship. Building on partnerships, the public of Bágyogszovát and Rábapordány will be actively involved in the life of schools and become a community scene, and schools actively engage in the life of the villages. The project management members Zsuzsanna Henye and Zsuzsanna Vargáné Molnár have higher education qualifications and several years of internship. The project includes art-related occupations, sports activities, traditional, healthy lifestyles, natural knowledge, catch-up, talent development activities, extracurricular competence development activities, cultural activities linked to pedagogical programmes. The two-year programmes include ÖKO activities related to environmental protection, sporting activities (Grundwrestling), object, developer, crafts classes (Ceramia, Alkot-hour), traditional workshops (Pop Dance), events dealing with religious values (our treasures built). Among the events are the series of events that are intact in the Ép body, the programs of which are related to a healthy lifestyle, the Festivals event series, which can be linked to outstanding days, national and school holidays, and 12 different sports events. The excursion series follow 2 types of themes: the Landscapes — they are aimed at getting to know our natural environment, are related to nature conservation, and the other series includes the visit and understanding of the built heritage of the Christian Church. Part of the activity is carried out in its own performance, and the outsourced activities include jobs and events requiring specific knowledge and workflows. The programmes also contribute to the development of learning competences, cultural awareness and expression, competences in the mother tongue, social and civic competences. During the project period, we plan to involve 10 volunteers and 2 people with disabilities, but our goal is to attract more and more people to the community programmes, with more volunteers as possible.
