Increasing energy efficiency in the production of polymethyl methacrylate sheets in Panhim Ltd.

The aim of this project proposal is to increase the energy efficiency and production capacity of Panhim Ltd. by purchasing new modern and high-performance equipment. The purchase of an extrusion plant for flat sheets of PMMA material, PC-UVPC, with significantly improved performance and low energy consumption is envisaged. The project proposal also foresees the construction of a system for the recovery of waste heat and the implementation of ISO 50001 standard. As a result of the implementation of these measures, the volume of energy consumed and that of the harmful carbon emissions from production will be reduced, thus helping to protect the environment and improve the company’s competitiveness. The planned energy savings for the enterprise as a result of the implementation of the project (PES) will be 29.96 % or 12 637 656.42 kWh/year, and the efficiency of the investment as a ratio of the amount of energy saved in kWh on an annual basis to the required investment in BGN (kWh/BGN) will be 2.63 kW/lv. in the case of saved carbon dioxide emissions of 103 350.24 tonnes/year.
