The overall objective of the project is to reduce the number of bad track choices based on false expectations or insufficient information, and this will ultimately lead to school leaving or the number of people leaving the profession after obtaining a school qualification. The specific objectives of the project are: 1) Strengthening career guidance in the institutions of the Sopron School District Center for the promotion of the choice of mathematical, scientific, IT and technical careers and the development of related competences. 2) establishing the foundations of the comprehensive career guidance support system in the majority institutions of the Sopron School District Centre, which is based on the joint awareness-raising of pupils, teachers and parents, the development of their career guidance knowledge and the close-to-practical understanding of the professions. 3) The project contributes to the foundation of conscious adult career development and future successful participation in the labour market, highlighting MTMI competences by developing pupils’ occupational guidance competences, thereby increasing the effectiveness of public education. 4) We pay attention to disadvantage compensation, MTMI guidance for children and girls from disadvantaged families. Our aim is also to increase the education of teachers for career guidance purposes. 5) The realisation of practice-oriented education, which we intend to implement through the presentation and visit of MTMI jobs, businesses. 6) Facilitate the transition within the education system and from education to work by implementing MTMI career guidance activities. 7) to help young people to choose a profession according to their ambition, personal interests and talent, and to develop their career building competence. 8) Increase the number of teachers able to provide professional knowledge and self-knowledge assistance among teachers in Sopron school district, who should learn a uniform pedagogical methodology for career guidance. 9) motivating the cooperation of teachers and parents in making career choices, providing a methodology for teachers that fits with the parental attitudes revealed in the project. 10) to familiarise students with engineering, natural science and IT careers, and to motivate students to learn related subjects from the early school age. 11) Promote the professions based on MTMI competences. The target group is the students, teachers and parents of the Sopron school district. The number of pupils in the school district is 8.859, according to data for the 2015/2016 academic year. The project coordinator and assistant will ensure the involvement of the target groups. In the project, we ensure that all students from the Sopron school district participate in the programmes. The principals of all schools and their teachers concerned will be invited. We keep news of the programs on the subpage of the project, we build a database at the start of the project, so that every person involved can receive a personal enquiry about each program later. In the project, general guidance activities and dissemination of education are carried out during the school year, embedded in a school pedagogical process, outside the school class, according to a professional plan.
