Bugac is a village situated on the northeast side of Bács-Kiskun county, with 2690 inhabitants. The administrative area of the village consists of Bugac, Bugacpusztaháza, Lower Monastery and the surrounding farmland. The local government maintains and operates the community scene of public culture, the House of Culture and the József Rigó General Cultural Centre. The Cultural House provides artistic and cultural group activities and traditional programs for students of local educational institutions and residents of our settlement. The common objective of the cultural institution and our municipal management is the dissemination of cultural knowledge, the strengthening of local communities and social relations, and the development of local educational institutions. The aim of this project, in line with the “Hungary Partnership Agreement for the 2014-2020 development period” and the Framework Strategy for the Lifelong Learning Policy, is to support the development of competences, knowledge and knowledge for pupils in educational institutions and pre-school children outside the institutional profession, mainly through non-formal and informal learning opportunities implemented for them by the House of Culture and the Municipality of the General Centre of Culture. The planned activities are adapted to the curriculum of local public education institutions and to the needs assessed. The technical programme was designed on the basis of the needs presented by the cooperating partners involved. The title basically refers to the “Golden Monastery” of the Árpád era, which was discovered at the border of Bugac. In connection with the project, one of our goals is to familiarise children from local and other schools with our history of the Árpád period, the findings from this period and the characteristics of the era. The total cost of the project is HUF 24.998.772. As a result of the professional development, a series of complex extracurricular activities will be realised with 8 co-operative public education institutions for three semesters, with a minimum of 180 persons 7-24 years of age. The schools of the following municipalities will be included in the planned programme: Bócsa (KT Bem József Primary School Boróka Elementary School) Jakabszállás (Jakabszállás — Philipjakab Primary School of Yakab Accommodation Elementary School) Kiskunfélegyháza (Kiskunfélegyháza Darvas Primary School, Kiskunfélegyházi József Attila Primary School) Jászszentlászló (Jászszentlászlói Szent László Primary School) Petőfi Accommodation (Petőfi Sándor Primary School) Bugac (Rigó József Primary School Bugac, Rigó József General Centre for Culture — Kindergarten-Bölcsőde) The interventions are in line with the accredited framework curricula prepared on the basis of the National Core Curriculum and the Framework Strategy of the Lifelong Learning Policy. Key aspects of matching with individual institutional pedagogical programmes and curricula: developing an independent learning ability is the practical implementation of the principle of belonging to the community, the transfer of the knowledge material that can be used in life, integration in school, class and society, skills and skills development, conscious development of competences and individual development, the complex development of personality, knowledge of the values and traditions of our national and folk culture. The approach and methodology of our project are aimed at personal development and competence development in the case of specialists, and the complex themes of the implemented camps and theme days promote the development of creative abilities, increase motivation for learning and the development, identity and integration of children, the integration of disadvantaged children into the community, and environmental awareness. In the case of the Rigó József ÁMK and the local public education institutions, the cooperation based on an active professional relationship that has existed for several years is the basis for the implementation of the project. We consider it important to strengthen institutional relations with several regional institutions. During the project preparation, we contacted 6 non-municipal schools in a targeted way. Sharing the experiences and views of partner institutions is the basis for a methodology that adapts to the children involved. Our goal is to preserve a part of the cultural programmes implemented. In the case of schools, the “Bugac Treasure chest” theme days are planned to be maintained, and in the case of the kindergarten the maintenance of the specialities is planned. The museum opened in 2018, presenting the unique Árpád archives of the settlement, provides an opportunity to further color the existing programme elements. The development of the basic competences of the children involved reduces early school leaving.
