The project, which the BICB will implement through the grant, is to create a pilot model for overcoming the imbalance between demand and supply of a skilled workforce in key areas for the development of the Bulgarian economy. The activity is of a non-economic nature, but is the formulation and implementation of labour market policies through joint action by the State and the social partners. The activities are aimed at increasing the economic activity of employed and jobseekers and at the same time improving access to employment for unemployed people, as well as supporting the voluntary geographical and occupational mobility of the workforce; enabling employees, businesses and entrepreneurs to adapt more easily to the changing needs of the economy and the labour market, including by developing the knowledge and skills of the employees according to the skills and competences required by the business, introducing new forms of work organisation and promoting geographical and occupational mobility and modernising labour market institutions. The project includes a total of seven activities, two of which are mandatory — project management and information and publicity. The actual activities for the implementation of the objectives are five in total and are aimed at developing: Rating system of the attractiveness of professions in key Bulgarian economy four pilot sectors; Motivation packages to attract jobseekers to jobs sought on the labour market; Methodologies for linking wages to labour productivity, introduction of innovative CSR practices and their pilot implementation and institutionalisation of the results achieved through training of employees of the Employment Agency. A total of 70 experts will work on the project, including 6 key, 24 long-term, 12 functional and 28 branch experts (of which four sectoral coordinators).
