This project is implemented pursuant to Article 6 of Regulation 1304/2013 and is a joint action of the social partners (trade unions and employers’ organisations) and the state in the face of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. The aim of the project is to improve working conditions and improve job quality in small and medium-sized enterprises — part of the production and value chains of multinationals and other large companies, by improving systems and mechanisms to support the implementation of labour, social security and environmental standards and good practices in SMEs. The project envisages the following activities: identification of target divisions of MNCs and large enterprises that are essential for the Bulgarian economy; identification of SMEs, part of the production and value chains of the target divisions of MNCs and other large enterprises; gathering information on the economic situation and labour relations in the targeted SMEs and defining the problems in the field of labour, social and environmental standards in them and their needs for advice and assistance for the transfer of standards and good practices from MNCs and large companies; development of information and training materials designed to familiarise employees and employers/managers in SMEs with international, European and national standards and good practices in the field of labour relations, social and environmental protection, employee representation, as well as their implementation in MNCs and large companies in Bulgaria; joint implementation by the project partners (CNSB, KRIB and BIA) of consultations on economic, social, environmental, labour and other issues and campaigns in SMEs — part of the production chains and value chains of MNC and big Bulgarian companies; assessment of the impact of the consultations and campaigns carried out.
