This project is implemented in implementation of Article 6 of Regulation 1304/2013 and is a joint action of the social partners (trade unions and employers’ organisations). The trends at European and global level outline the need to improve the adaptability of enterprises and employees to changing economic conditions to achieve higher productivity and job satisfaction. The project responds to the challenges of the labour market posed by the development of economic processes and directly contributes to increasing the skills and adaptability of the workforce, reflecting also the specific needs of target groups. The project has a national scope and addresses the problems of adaptability, flexibility and security of employees in terms of needs and commitments in the field of improvement of key competences and digital skills, which contributes to flexibility and security in the implementation of policies that work simultaneously in modern labour markets. The increasing deployment of digital technologies implies the acquisition and building of new competences corresponding to the “skills of the future”. In practice, technological breakthroughs change the boundaries between the work tasks performed by machines and algorithms and those performed by humans. This requires the formation of a national policy in this field, and the CITUB actively supports the process, which in this project is characterised by the involvement of the social partners, as well as by taking into account specific national circumstances and needs in the provision of specific, joint activities and proposals of the social partners. The implementation by the project partners (CNSB, KRIB, BIA, AICB, BCCI and MLSP) of activities related to the improvement of digital knowledge and skills among workers is a guarantee for the practical applicability of the results in the labour practice, the sustainability of the results, as well as the high impact of multiplication of the results achieved.
