Infrastructural development of the Siklósi Táncsics Mihály High School, Primary School and Primary Art School in order to promote disadvantage compensation and create quality education

Siklós can be reached in Baranya county, which has the highest number of settlements (53). Siklós is the seat and population of Siklósi Járás, according to the 2011 census, 9574 people. The inhabitants of small villages and large settlements of the district work in Siklós in a large number, commuting on a daily basis. Their children also often choose the opportunities offered by the Siklósi Táncsics Mihály Secondary School, Primary School and Primary Art School. Siklós is at an optimal distance for the students of the Járás, with shorter travel time and less cost for the students of the district and settlements outside the district. The institution can play a central role in the region, but in its current state of infrastructure and equipment, it is not able to play a central role, it is not able to provide quality education for those within its catchment area, and it is not able to ensure equal access to educational assets for local pupils. Within the framework of the project, we plan to develop two places of primary school performance: Batthyány Kázmér Primary School, member institution and Kanizsai Dorottya Primary School, member institution. In order to achieve quality education, it is necessary to modernise and develop the institution’s places of work involved in development. During the renovation of the Batthyány Kázmér member school, a building complex is being developed that can accommodate children of primary school age as a modern, reasonably designed organisational unit. The development of the institution’s gymnastics room to be carried out in order to achieve these goals, which would allow the provision of modern and professional conditions for everyday physical education, for SNI children to develop movement in appropriate conditions, as well as by providing a place for school sports for a healthy lifestyle; the establishment of a science-scientific curriculum, which provides the opportunity for up-to-date and high-quality education of physics-chemistry-biology subjects, helps to obtain the planned Eco-school title and fulfill its expectation system; the establishment of a specialised language school meeting the needs of the age, which is a basic infrastructure condition for the teaching of the German minority language based on the census data in Siklósi Járás, Siklós, and the acquisition of a language proficiency; the creation of a specialised computer science classroom, which represents a step forward for pupils, both in its tools, furniture and software components, in terms of IT education started in the first year, in acquiring digital competence and in compensating for HH and HHH pupils’ disadvantages; development of a dance room for the development of art education; two development rooms with its infrastructure and equipment suitable for the individual and small group development of the ever-increasing number of students requiring special attention. The main elements of the development of the Kanizsai Dorottya School: refurbishment of classroom floors, built-in cabinets for students in the corridors, the creation of a school library that ensures equal access to knowledge with its infrastructural and material facilities, equipment and books, and with its friendlyly furnished reading corners encourages children to read as adaptive leisure activities, to create two development rooms for the individual and small group development of children requiring special attention, the creation of a smaller dance room with its conditions and equipment to provide space for teaching drama and dance, for the promotion and development of talents in several fields related to movement, two rooms for fine arts which, with its material conditions, enable high-quality education in all fields of the arts sector in the school, a teacher’s community room that provides cultivated conditions for teachers with kitchen equipment, a science classroom that is suitable for experience-centered and discovering learning, the creation and equipment of a specialised language training room, which corresponds to the communication-based language teaching of the present age, provides a space for teaching the three foreign languages present in the school (English, Croatian, German), refurbished courtyard development and motion development tools, serves as a scene for the leisure activities of all-day education. In the framework of the project, we would like to acquire tools to help cooperative education, individual differentiation, project pedagogy, skills and skills development. We wish to fill the missing illustrative tools necessary for teaching the curriculum required by the Pedagogical Programme, the local curriculum. The primary criterion for the purchase of equipment is 20/2012. (VIII. 31) Decree No 2 of the Minister for Human Resources and the Institute’s Educational Programme.
