Harkány, located in the southern part of Hungary, in Baranya county. The primary school has two or three classes in eight grades, teaching its students in the basic arts discipline in the field of music. In addition to Harkány, eight municipalities belong to the schooling district: Csarnóta, Drávacsepely, Drávaszerdahely, Ipacsfa, Kovácshida, Márfa, Rádfalva, Túrony; children attend school from ten settlements outside the school district. In these small villages there is no place for culture, sports, meaningful recreation. As the number of pupils in schools increases, the proportion of pupils with special educational needs, pupils with integration, learning and behavioural difficulties, as well as pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds and multiple disadvantages, is increasing. The increasing number of people and the five-hour physical education introduced in the ascending system together generated one of the biggest problems of the school, the most basic material condition for the teaching of physical education, the education of healthy pupils, and the lack of a gym of the right size. In the 2016/2017 academic year — all eight years of everyday physical education have been introduced — there are 95 teaching hours per week and 16 extra-curricular sports activities, which are held by teachers in 24 groups. In the 24 x 12 m gym, 35 lessons a week, 30 hours in the city sports hall, almost 1 km from the school — combined with 2 physical education hours — are provided, and 12 extra-curricular sessions are provided. Because of the combined classes, the school is unable to provide daily exercise to its pupils. The other physical education classes — in case of good weather — are held at the basketball and handball courts and at the artificial grass grund football field delivered at the end of the 2015/2016 academic year. In the event of bad weather, the “outside classes” are moved in different parts of the corridor, which is not suitable for subject education, health or accident protection. In the course of development, the asphalt-covered basketball court is equipped with rubber covering, bordering and levelling the field. The aluminium hall structure is a four season heated tent structure with lighting. This could create a space that can be used throughout the academic year, where in addition to 35 physical education hours per week in the existing gymnasium, 35 additional hours and most of the extracurricular sports activities could be held. This space could be a suitable venue for other school events and ceremonies. It is necessary to replace doors opening to the road yard and unsuitable fire doors. The new facility would be accessible from both the gym and the schoolyard. The school gym was built in 1975 (according to today’s standards, half gymnastics room, 280 m²). In 2002, the flat-roofed, regularly infiltrated gym had a high roof, the slab was reinforced and the side walls were raised to allow classrooms to be built in later partitions. Part of the investment was the replacement of the parquet floors of the gym. Inlets around the attic windows will be eliminated. In order to improve the availability of ICT in primary schools, it will be necessary to purchase 2 interactive boards. The school would equip the development classroom with a board, with the help of the developer educators and specialty teachers could develop 42 SNI students and 36 BTMN students more efficiently. For this work there is already a large amount of learning material on the various portals, and the board is a great help in differentiated work and individual, independent task-solving in small group development sessions. It is important to extend access opportunities for undergraduate students and educators to interactive learning materials. The use of the interactive board in the large lower classes expands the opportunities of the teacher in organising the lesson, in the cooperative processing of the curriculum, in the deepening of knowledge, in the consolidation of skills. The planned acquisition of equipment would achieve the availability of at least one digital table per class parallel to each grade. In the event of the planned development, the conditions for day-to-day physical education and leisure will be created. By expanding the IT toolkit, pupils and educators would have greater access to interactive materials on the National Public Education Portal. This can be more motivated by the process of education and education and its effectiveness. As a result of the development, the institution’s activities to retain and increase the number of children would improve, and the number of early school leavers could be prevented due to its motivating effect.
