Infrastructural development of the learning spaces of the János Frey Primary School

Majs is located in the southern part of Hungary, Baranya County. The Frey János Elementary School is eight grades, one grade is taught in one class. The school comes from the school district (Udvar, Sátorhely) with 13 % of the pupils. With the help of the project, the primary school prepares its students for lifelong learning as it provides an infrastructure background where students can develop their skills, skills, knowledge and opportunities from all sides to develop their talents. The primary task of the school is to compensate for disadvantages, create opportunities and ensure equal access to education and education services. The teaching staff is constantly looking for opportunities that contribute to pupils’ success at school. As a result of these developments, students can acquire thorough and extensive knowledge that can contribute to successful career choices and competences. In addition to this, modern specialised rooms will be available for students: drawing technology, individual development room. With the development, the school creates the background of everyday physical activity, art education, activity-oriented education. Modernly equipped specialised classrooms, individual development rooms and their equipment, a gym with related rooms and a refurbished schoolyard will be available for children and teachers. Goal: creating quality service, quality education during development, creating opportunities. A significant proportion of the children targeted by the project are students with special educational needs, pupils with integration, learning, behavioural difficulties and HH/HH students. The individual development room would provide professional assistance to SNI students, BTM students — access to appropriate development tools, differentiated, person-centred education and education can be implemented. Provide a suitable environment for the work of the school’s specialty teachers and speech therapists. It will be separated from an existing classroom on the 1st floor of the building. It is necessary to replace the floor covering of the group room. With the design of the art-technological specialty room, the skills subjects will be brought to the fore, and the talents of the students can be developed. Creativity, manual dexterity, self-expression, co-creation, joy of work, evaluation of finished works are important tools for everyday life. Through their activities they will also have a successful experience for students whose merit in humanities and real subjects is weaker. This helps to compensate for disadvantages and strengthen their personality in a positive way. This classroom would be constructed in a small building next to the gym. The gym was built in 1976 and the building needs renovation. In addition to the provision of everyday physical education, various school and extracurricular events take place in the gym. The aim is to educate healthy lifestyles and increase health awareness. A new, effective thermal insulation will be installed on the inflamed, low-insulated asbestos cement wave shale gym. The new roof covering is being prepared in the framework of the project. The renovation of the related sex changing rooms ensures a healthier, more aesthetic environment. In the building of the school and gym, independent heating control is solved, and the replacement of the boiler becomes necessary. There is no toilet in the school, it is located in a separate building close to the main building. We will build an open-cover roof between the two buildings, so the covered space will be secured. The schoolyard is a learning space where different sessions and events can be held. The design of the playground can help to develop modern and versatile movement development in the pupils, make it suitable for daily physical education activities and provide recreation in extracurricular activities. The opening of the cracked concrete covering of the entrance area and the area in front of the educational building and the laying of a small elementary stone cladding with trimmings is necessary, and the gates should also be replaced. In connection with the refurbishment of the schoolyard, we install playground equipment and replace green surface plants. Equalisation of territorial disparities and equal opportunities are an essential condition for infrastructure development. There is a need for all the tools and modern classrooms that support the efficiency of teaching and learning, the use of diverse methods and learning organisation procedures. As a result of the development, HH and HHH pupils would achieve better educational outcomes as a result of school disadvantage compensation activities, thereby increasing their chances of further education and reducing the risk of dropping out.
