Infrastructural development of the learning spaces of Károly Mohácsi Kisfaludy High School

The Mohácsi Kisfaludy Károly High School in the Southern Transdanubia region, 290/2014. (XI.26.) According to Government Decree (XI.26.), the beneficiary operates in the central municipality of Mohács district. In addition to the town of Mohács, the school’s enrolment area includes small settlements in the area. Despite the continuous decline in the population, the number of children and the number of the 14-year-olds, the number of pupils in our high school has not changed significantly over the years. The institution is the only high school in the Mohács micro-region, therefore it is the institution that must provide students with the necessary knowledge for graduation and higher education. The high school operates in the Baroque building of the former Bishop’s Castle in Pécs, located on the eastern side of Szepessy Park. The building was built in the early 1740s and reached its final shape in the 1790s. In its present state, its walls are wet on the ground floor, and the air of the rooms is musty. Due to the texture of the gutter, its smaller cross section than necessary and less drainage channels, in case of heavy rains and thunderstorms, overflowing the walls and facades from above. This destroys even worse external doors that are already in poor condition, which are already unsuitable for ventilation and may be accidental if opened. As a result of the waterfall, plaster in some places already leads to critical conditions both on the facade of the building and in the interiors. The floors of the occupants of the building are also poorly conditioned, worn, in some places sank, dangerous for accidents. The current 15×15 cm white tile covering on the walls, besides being environmental in a baroque monument, does not allow the walls to ventilate, so the moisture in them is extremely damaging. The dining room in the courtyard building for school meals is small in its present form and its floors are worn out. Its expansion can be achieved by reducing the space used for the former cooking kitchen, today’s heating kitchen (unnecessarily large in its current function), thus allowing the development of a tank kitchen as well. Half of the closed, baroque courtyard was beautifully landscaped, but the other half was in bad condition, with holes of smaller or larger size, and there were only traces of the crushing of stone. The texture of the stage built on the side of the gymnasium in the south wing was also worn, and there is no cover or shielding of the weather. This part of the yard needs to be refurbished in a coherent and comprehensive manner, which would significantly increase the quality of the environment, thus helping students to educate their students visually and to raise their proper coexistence to a higher level. Within the framework of the planned project, a significant number of the above problems can be solved: by replacing the gutter system, the walls will cease to be wet, and the energy efficiency of the building will be improved by the replacement of doors and windows. The basic direction of development is the renovation, refurbishment and modernisation of the spaces used for the implementation of educational activities (teaching rooms, specialised classrooms, group rooms) and for reaching and approaching them (transports, corridors) and bringing them to the 21st standard. This means mainly renovation works on the construction side, and in some places internal refurbishment works. Since the building is a monument, it must comply with the Cultural Heritage Protection Act and regulations for each of the construction works to be carried out. Professionals with appropriate authority must be involved in the preparation and implementation of the works. Activities to be carried out in the framework of the project:Renovation of the windows of classrooms, road users and shared spaces by replacing the external wooden window wings, in accordance with the requirements of the monuments. Crushing of facade and interior plaster up to the height above the level of wetting. Application of drying plaster technology to treat wall wetting, repair of sections, silicone painting outside, breathable painting inside, replacement of hanger and drainage and necessary scaffolding work. On the ground floor and floor circular corridors of the building, the renovation of the floor, the mosaic tiles flooring and the 15x15 white tiles wall cladding are made to suit the historical environment. Dismantling the main wooden staircase of the school building, placing a new staircase from treated hardwood. Interior construction (dismantling of doors, opening of smaller spaces) and building engineering (biochemistry and physics classroom) required for the construction of specialised classrooms. Refurbishment of the school building’s electrical network, replacement of distributors, wiring, fittings, luminaires and light sources, renovation and construction of weak-current networks: Optional refurbishment of tevékenységek:vizesblokkok...
