Infrastructural development of learning spaces at the Babos József Regional Primary School in Fertőd

The present project of the Babos József Regional Primary School in Fertőd aims to provide public education infrastructure that meets the requirements of the 21st century. The infrastructure improvements to be carried out under the project will enhance the effectiveness of the institution and ensure the conditions for equitable and inclusive education, while at the same time improving the quality of the services provided by the school. The school is a small-town educational institution in the region. The number of pupils was reduced due to the change in the schooling district designed to meet the needs of the municipalities, despite the fact that many children outside the district are enrolled in the institution. The likely cause of the decrease in the number of children, despite the good educational results, is the crumbling plaster of the school, the appearance of the school that needs to be refurbished. While the school of the neighbouring settlement was completely renovated and equipped with a swimming pool, the school building to be developed has not been renovated since 1981. A strong contrast is the newly built Porpáczy Aladár Vocational Gymnázium and the crumbling property of the primary school. The removal of inundations and floor defects is essential for creating the right educational environment, and it is necessary to upgrade the luminaires accordingly, and replace them with energy-saving LED light sources. The language lab to be implemented in the framework of the development serves the objectives of language teaching within the school and the development of linguistic competence, which is a priority not only at regional but also national level in the field of public education. The planned development includes the modernisation of the gym and the construction of the sports yard to ensure an adequate level of educational and educational environment, roof modernisation (repair of flooding and slabs) and the replacement of lighting fixtures in corridor lighting with energy saving. The creation of the language lab ensures the development of language competence for the classes studying with the German minority language training programme, which has a history of 7 years, and it would also function as a level of individual and small group development. These areas are currently a top priority in the public education system. However, the school’s conditionality in these areas is lagging behind, thus pupils are at a disadvantage compared to students in other municipalities. The key element of the call for proposals is the provision of adequate infrastructure in public education institutions in municipalities. An essential part of this is the completion of roof modernisation, energy modernisation and lighting modernisation in relation to the applicant institution. The need to develop a language lab is demonstrated by the emphasis on the development of language competence in the framework curriculum. The inclusion of language measurement in the national system of competency measurements further strengthens this process. In the long term, the compulsory language examination for admission to higher education indicates the importance of developing the field. Currently, the language teaching infrastructure of the applicant institution does not include modern ICT language laboratory equipment, which makes it difficult to implement quality education. As well as the introduction of everyday physical education, the FIT measurement measuring the health status of pupils — also mandatory — indicates that proper fitness and the promotion of good health in the public education system are also a top priority. The project helps to achieve this goal by renovating and modernising the gym and by purchasing outdoor sports equipment. Planned developments — Replacement of the outdated furniture of the rooms used to carry out educational and educational activities. — Modernisation of classrooms for teaching science subjects: chemistry performer with corrosion-resistant stainless steel hood hood. — Refurbishment of the rooms and corridors used to carry out the educational and educational activity: painting, replacement of floor coverings, replacement of interior doors, upgrading of corridor and classroom lighting (installation of LED luminaires). — Language lab design: modernisation of the classroom for language teaching, purchase of equipment. — Improvements needed for everyday physical education: refurbishment of the gym, replacement of sports floors, replacement of doors and windows, protection with window nets, thermal insulation of the floor, modernisation of lighting. Renovation and modernisation of the sports yard. — Wets, floor defects to eliminate roof upgrades. — Energy modernisation: replacement of external doors and doors, repair of facade thermal insulation. — 4 toilets, refurbishment of sanitary facilities, design and painting of handicapped toilets. Refurbishment of a teaching room, replacement of furniture.
