The beneficiary is the Open-air Museum of Ethnography (SZNM), a national museum. The site of the development is the Szennai Skanzen, the member institution of the SZNM, which is a regional museum, whose core activity is determined by the founding document of the parent institution. Unique in the country, it was created on a local initiative in a living village. Its basic aim is to preserve and present the diverse folk culture of Zselic and Inner-Somogy, its rich tangible and intangible heritage. Its mission is to become an eco-museum that builds on both sustainable development and knowledge held by local communities, offering opportunities to respond to the social and economic problems of the 21st century. Starting from the Hungarian and EU development documents and taking into account the characteristics of Szennai Skanzen, the project aims to implement student- and visitor-friendly museum development in the monument buildings and outdoors that ensure that visitors acquire knowledge of the cultural heritage and natural way of life in Inner Somogy in a barrier-free, individualised or organised way of life, their attitudes and competences develop as well. The target group of the project is the village of Szenna and the inhabitants of Kaposvár district. In particular, the pupils and employees of public education institutions, participants in adult education within the public educational institutions, people with disabilities and registered jobseekers are our priority target groups. The owner of the property of the development site is the Municipality of Szenna, the user of the property and the state-owned collection on the property, which includes both the exhibited works of art and the resettled building stock, the property manager of the Open Air Ethnography Museum, the parties concluded an indefinite cooperation agreement. Within the framework of the project, the development of an open-air educational space, i.e. the open-air employment area with a roof-covered outdoor employment area — saletli (furnace colour) is carried out in order to improve the life-long learning conditions of Szenna Skanzen, as well as the infrastructural design of the open-air barrier-free toilet structure that is essential for the learning processes. In connection with activity type 3, we plan to develop the barn in the gate of Szenna Skanzen Csökölyi into a museum pedagogical employment space, where we will create a visualisation of the Senna collection, demonstration tools, as well as a view of the tactile devices, meeting the state-of-the-art conservation and artefact security requirements, processing the collection material in a scientific and educational way, making extensive use of the artefacts and meeting the infrastructural needs for audience reception. On the floor of the Csököly barn we have a sensitising and relaxing employer. In connection with activity type 4, we plan to acquire ICT tools, which will be used as an additional tool to our programs and programs designed in the open-air workplace, the Visual Library and in our employing rooms at Somogyszobi. In connection with activity type 5, we plan the installation of the Csökölyi barn, the open-air employment space and the Somogysobi interior room, partly commercially available and partly with custom-made teaching and storage furniture that fits the existing exhibition image and design of Skanzen, as well as tactile, usable, hand-held demonstration tools and copies of artifacts. As part of the development, we implement the project-proportional physical and infocommunication accessibility. Overall, the development will therefore contribute to the improvement of the services of Szennai Skanzen, including the development of spaces for learning and creative activities. In addition to the project management organisation of 2 people, 5 staff are involved in the professional implementation. External experts support the preparation of the project, the preparation of the construction plan documentation, the independent technical audit, the development of the website, the execution of the construction procurement procedure; the development of physical and ICT solutions is supervised by a rehabilitation environmental engineer. The installed capacities are maintained for at least 5 years, and informal non-formal learning programmes are organised for a minimum of 150 people per year in the established occupational spaces and the Visual Library during the project maintenance period.
