Achieving an optimal environment for training, research, innovation and sustainable development of human capital in the field of chemical sciences: Adapting education today for tomorrow

The project "Achieving an optimal environment for training, research, innovation and sustainable development of human capital in the field of chemical sciences: Adapting education today for tomorrow" has been developed in full compliance with the requirements set out in the objectives of the Operational Programme "Science and Education for Smart Growth" 2014-2020 (OP SESG), in line with the Europe 2020 strategy and the National Development Programme "Bulgaria 2020”. Meeting the growth and retention needs of research and education professionals are complementary in terms of attracting and developing a new generation of highly qualified and R & D researchers. By creating a specific local mechanism within the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy (FHF) — Adapting education today for tomorrow, a solution will be found for the development of the quality of human and intellectual capital by providing opportunities for quality training, design practice, and social experience in communication with European educational institutions and centres. The target group includes students, young scientists, PhD students, post-doctoral students and lecturers from the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy. The common denominator uniting the representatives in the target group is that they are carriers of the overall logic of the OP SESG programme — what is happening here and today necessarily shapes what will happen tomorrow and elsewhere. The planned specific objectives and activities are clearly defined through a transparent and modern framework for individual capacity development. The implementation of the project is through “horizontal” measures to improve the qualification of researchers, mobility and career development. An estimate of the objectives and activities set is to improve the learning and development environment in line with the national development policy until 2020: building a knowledge-based economy.
