This project is designed and planned for implementation in implementation of the Integrated Plan for Urban Reconstruction and Development of the city of Sofia, aimed at improving the quality of living standards, social integration, restoration and preservation of cultural and natural values and development of environmental infrastructure leading to sustainable and balanced development and modernisation of technical infrastructure and urban environment. In the long term, the implementation of the IHLG will support the achievement of the vision of the city, which defines Sofia as a city of people and for the people, an intelligent and creative city, an authentic and vibrant city, a green and attractive city in the perspective of 2020.The project includes a complex of activities related to reconstruction, renovation of the Sofia Theatre, Oborishte district, with the aim of developing the cultural infrastructure and improving the conditions for access to cultural life. The investment program is based on the real needs for reconstruction and development of the city after a thorough territorial and demographic analysis of the opportunities and challenges, as well as the development strategy of the city and its periphery and is realistic from the point of view of the available capacity for its implementation and the available financial resources. This project contributes to achieving maximum integration of the interventions on the territory of the city for its full restoration and development of the identified impact zones. The development of cultural infrastructure in the context of this project is an important strategic objective for the development of each city. The need for modern, modern, meeting the dynamically growing demands of visitors cultural infrastructure is tangible and indispensable for the city.
