The successful realisation of the European Research Area (ERA) is an essential element in achieving the objectives of the Europe 2020 Strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. Published in 2014 A progress report on the implementation of the EEA outlines the main lines of action at European, national and institutional level that will lead to the completion of the single area of knowledge, research and innovation. In this context, the aim of this project is to develop the research potential of the UNWE for its transformation into a modern center for training, research and innovation. The specific objectives are:-Improving the preparation of students and PhD students for their successful professional realisation;-Enhancing the qualification of the teaching staff in accordance with the requirements of modern science and information technologies;- Creating a stimulating environment for results research. The project addresses the identified needs of the following target groups: students, PhD students, post-doctoral students, young scientists and lecturers.To achieve its objectives, the project foresees the following activities: training for the development and improvement of transversal skills, enabling research mobility, promoting the dissemination of scientific knowledge and ensuring access to modern scientific content. The following results will be achieved through the implementation of the project activities envisaged: a stimulating environment for effective research will be created; the young generation of researchers will develop their skills for independent research; the quality of the research carried out will be increased; the academic content of the courses taught will be enriched with modern knowledge; the research results achieved will be widely disseminated to the international scientific community; it will increase the attractiveness of the research career.
