Undoubtedly, the modernisation of universities and higher education in Bulgaria is an important problem related to the place of university education in the EU. On this basis, as a leading university in Bulgaria, the UNWE should modify its training, or study programs in Economics and Management, in a way that allows them to be associated with programs at European universities. The updating and modernisation of these programmes should be done in partnership with other leading (regional) universities in Bulgaria — SA-Svishtov, NSA and BSU, so that through cooperation and combination, curricula can be created and implemented in practice, which are up-to-date and to a large extent allow the project partners to be as close as possible to their European fellows.Funding the modernisation of partnership between leading universities in Bulgaria, in cooperation with leading universities from Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, etc., this is a guarantee for achieving European quality and transposition of good practices in UNWE and project partners. Moreover, the modernisation is based on digitalisation of the curricula through the creation of digital classrooms and laboratories. This will make it possible to make the most of the sharing of resources, including know-how, between partner universities and/or between students and their university lecturers and mentors. Another important project activity is related to the implementation of the European policy for entrepreneurship and innovation of students and teachers. By creating open centers to promote the free sharing of ideas and the development of entrepreneurial skills of students and lecturers, the UNWE receives the advantage of modern education, but also of alumni from successfully realised students. All of the above is related to increasing the quality of the education at the UNWE and in Bulgaria in Economics, as well as the quality of research at the UNWE and the partners.
