Development and market introduction of a multipurpose organic bioferment product family

The aim of the project is to develop and implement the process of collecting, processing and environmentally sound recycling of poultry manures in Hungary. Granulated organic poultry manure is currently available in Hungary and there is no information on its production conditions, given that these products originate 100 % from abroad. Currently, there are no domestic alternatives available to replace these products, the project aims to develop the technical bases, technology and industrial applications of the process. As a result of the decreasing livestock production in Hungary, the production of livestock manure is also decreasing, which makes the agricultural use of all other organic fertilisers of paramount importance. However, a problem is that the proper storage, handling and application of livestock manures is only partially solved. This problem should be fully solved on medium- or large-scale livestock farms, only the cost of setting up covered, closed manure storages would exceed HUF 80-100 billion (this estimate is true even though expenditure for this purpose has previously been made in Hungary on a similar scale). From year to year, the needs of bio-farms and farms moving towards precision crop production are developing at a significant pace, recognising the importance of organic material restocking. These farmers and farms still use organic fertiliser pellets of imported origin. We do not have any information on the origin, production conditions and composition, both on the user side and on the official side. Not only is there ever increasing demand for this type of product in Hungary, but there are also growing market opportunities in neighbouring countries. The aim of the project is to develop an organic Bio — Fermentum product line, unique in Hungary and Europe, based on poultry manure. The implementation of the project is 3 years, the main tasks of which are scheduled according to years: they're broken down: During Phase 1 (1st year), the following developments and studies are carried out at the Baromfi-Coop Kft. and the University of Debrecen: Testing of all poultry manure parameters (water, dry matter, organic matter, water soluble substances, ash constituents, macro- and micronutrients, soluble N forms). Evaluation of the effectiveness of poultry manure pre-treatment in the storage building to test and increase the efficiency of the Hosoya type dung fermentation system, reduce residence time (system optimisation, input-output analysis). Investigation of poultry manure emission and reduction of ammonia with additives during pre-treatment (analysis of the applicability of N-adsorber in Hosoya-type litter manure control system). Environmental impact assessment (soil, water, air), material and energy balance analyses (indicators: C, N, water). Studies of the physical, chemical and biological properties of existing products, migration studies, impact assessments, germ tests, analysis of nutrient digestion dynamics in soil maturation experiments, impact assessments in soil-plant system). EIA renewal, related tests. After Phase 1, phase 2 of the project (year 2) will follow, during which the following list will be carried out by the 2 consortium members: Poultry manure emissions are tested during the pre-treatment (analysis of the applicability of N-adsorber in the Hosoya type fermentation system), exploring the potential for reducing greenhouse gas production. In addition, the prototype product is created.: nutrient formulation prototype, granulator, industrial steriliser (2nd semester). The efficiency of industrial sterilisation is also tested in year 2 (input-output analyses, chemical and microbiological tests). Consortium members shall test and mix sterilised and fermented poultry manure according to different volume ratios during the 2nd semester of year 2. The next step of the R & D project is to design the 3 possible members of the organic biofermentum product family. Mixtures are supplemented for vegetable nutrient enrichment. In addition, a planned task is to test the effectiveness of granulation (homogenicity, hardness, particle size distribution, dusting tests). The development tasks to be carried out in the 2nd half of year 2 are as follows: Analysis of members of the organic, biofermentum product family. Test of the physical, chemical and biological properties of the prototype products (homogenicity, hardness, propensity to dust, water and dry matter, organic matter, ash content, total vegetable nutrient content, migration tests, soluble plant nutrient content: macro- and micro-nutrients, toxic element content). Material and energy balance calculations are needed to develop the final product (indicators: C, N, water) and life cycle analysis. Additional R & D tasks to be carried out
