To increase participation in formal training, it is necessary to ensure the flexibility of the training structure and to ensure that training is continuously relevant to the acquisition of relevant knowledge, skills and competences adapted to labour market needs and expectations, thereby also ensuring that the quality of training outcomes is improved. A prerequisite for these objectives is that the VET and adult education institutions are able to respond more flexibly and quickly to economic change and adapt the content of training courses to the needs of businesses. A vocational and adult education system adapted to the needs of the economy is also necessary to help them adapt to economic and social change, in addition to developing the knowledge, competences and competitiveness of future generations and those of the working age. In the 21st century, knowledge of ICT technologies, acquisition, acquisition, acquisition and continuous development of ICT technologies are essential for adapting to economic and social change and for competitiveness in the labour market. In parallel to making the VET and adult learning system more flexible, it is therefore necessary to ensure the digital transition of adult education and training, and to better integrate the development of sector-specific digital competences and digital learning into the VET and adult learning system. In order to achieve the above objectives, i.e. to ensure that a sufficient number of vocational and adult education is removed from vocational and adult education, including in the long term, with high-quality knowledge that can be directly exploited in the labour market and with the digital competences required by each branch, there is a need for comprehensive, systemic improvements in the field of vocational education and training in Hungary and in adult education.
