Reconstruction of the "Budapest Kelenföld-Székesfehérvár railway line 1/3: KÖZOP/IKOP phased project “Reconstruction of Székesfehérvár station” aims to halt the negative trends in the development of public transport users in recent years, to preserve the current share of modal-split and to increase as far as possible in the longer term. The aim of the project is to develop a network of tracks at Székesfehérvár station, where it is possible to serve the needs of passengers and to manage the traffic with the greatest efficiency. • the track network will be rebuilt: On the cross-road tracks the speed will be 100 km/h, with track links suitable for 80 km/h in the direction of the branching main lines • 20 km long the track network will be built between the sections 659+ 00 and 683+ 00 according to the Budapest-Nagykanizsa line • the main tracks will be built on 60 systems, the sidings will be built on a 54-system axle load of 22.5 t • the station’s I-XV. tracks will be rebuilt and the traction station storage tracks will be built on the I-XV. tracks with electronic securing equipment and ETCS2 level, centralised train control equipment • A new overhead contact line is being built over the rebuilt track network • 5 groups of high-speed switches are built at the station, 66 groups simple bypass and 14 group crossings are being built • New high platforms are being built with platform roofs • Renovation of existing structures • Construction of walking overpass • The project involves functional renovation of the recording building, which is protected by monuments, so changes in its appearance are limited. The design of the premises within the building varies according to functional needs. Lifts from the underpass to platforms and halls are built to ensure unobstructed traffic between passenger platforms and the hall. The staircases of the hall will be rebuilt, as well as the facade will be renewed.
