As part of the project, a new public port will be built in Mohács, which will be the property of the Municipality of Mohács. The project for the development of the Port of Mohács includes the following planned project elements: With the construction of the vertical coast wall, the harbour area expands into the river Danube as compared to the current state. To delimit the coastal area of the new port part, a vertical coast wall is built in length 330 fm with the construction of three boat stations, which is connected to the built coast of the Schengen port. The port area of road and space coverings, container outdoor storage area will be constructed in an area of about 25 900 m². For lifting and transport equipment planned in the framework of the project, open-air loading and storage areas will be established in the newly constructed coastal areas, with the construction of the necessary heavy-duty pavement layers, while ensuring rainwater drainage and cleaning. The area and the inner road network are approached from the main road no. 56 (Budapesti Road) through an approach road to be built in area 3707/2 by rebuilding the main road no. The implementation of the project also requires the provision of public utilities in the newly built areas. The development includes the reconstruction of existing railway tracks, the establishment of switches and crossings, and the construction of 2 loading tracks with road crossings. The port area is bounded by the industrial track owned and managed by MÁV from other industrial areas on the mainland, through which the underlying area and access roads can be approached through level crossings. Two new railway loading tracks from the industrial track will create the possibility of transhipping incoming cargoes in road-rail-water connections alongside the internal road network of the port. The development includes the construction of a port reception and operational building, which primarily performs a port operational function. The project also includes related services supporting the preparation and implementation of the project: preparatory studies, plans, technical inspection, project management, information and publicity, auditing, public procurement consultancy. Pre-territorial work, such as archaeology and demunition, will be the tasks of the contractor and will be charged under the heading “Construction-related costs”. The preparation of the construction plans is recorded under the heading “costs of preliminary studies, permit documents” as project preparation costs.
