As part of the planned investment, MAHART PassNave Visegrad, Dömös, Zebegény, Esztergom and Komárom plans to develop the infrastructure conditions for passenger shipping or to improve the existing conditions. 1.In Visegrád, the aim of the regional water transport hub is to reduce the travel time by half of the journey time with the high-speed hydrofoil flight to be set up on the Budapest-Visegrád route. Thus, Visegrád will be a reasonable end point for the network of water traffic (working, going to school, etc.) in the agglomeration of Budapest. The junction also serves the nearby towns of Dunakanyari. The current ship station is on the outskirts of the village, operating at almost full capacity during the season, with unfavorable city centre access, parking problems. It is necessary to build a new ship, because of the faster embarkation and handling needs of high-speed vessels. The planned new boat station is close to the newly built Visegrád Visitor Centre in the newly built city centre with good access and parking. The crossing of Dömös is the starting point of the tourist route leading to the Pilis Mountains in the inner part of Dömös near the Dömösi nautical station on the right bank of the Danube. The fastest access from Budapest with public transport can be made by rail on the Budapest-Vác-Szob route on the left bank of the Danube. In contrast to the municipality of Dömös, on the left bank of the Danube, the so-called Dömös crossing stop is located on the left bank of the Danube, for the intersection of Dömös, which is operated specifically for the above-mentioned main purpose. The old well-functioning harbour has ceased to exist. With the stop of the water staircase investment, a significant part of the planned additional installations were also lagging behind, and the road became more saturated. Due to the intensive railway developments of the Budapest-Szob line, the re-establishment of the Dömös — Dömös crossing function becomes timely again. The commissioning of the crossing can also help the daily traffic of Dömös-Vác-Budapesti. The development means the construction of the port on the left bank of the Danube, which has been virtually completely destroyed. Zebegény: The aim of the development is to involve one of the most beautiful settlements of the Danube bend again in the shipping of Budapest — Esztergom. Esztergom Esztergom is a top tourist destination. The current MAHART PassNave port is located in a favorable location, because from the port there is a road crossing the island of Prímás which leads directly to the main square of Esztergom through a footbridge, so the port also represents the water gate of Esztergom. In parallel to the planned project, a new flood protection system in Esztergom will be implemented as part of another development. Due to the emerging flood protection, the receiving ship station can only be installed on a floating plant within the framework of this project. All elements of the coastal infrastructure (visit centre, passenger waiting room, ticket office, sanitary facilities, etc.) shall be installed on the floating plant and shall be suitable for the reception of high-speed hydrofoils. The current port of Komárom’s vessel No. 1 holds a valid authorisation to receive passenger ships. The coastal environment (interior roads, space coverings, building approaching the ship station) is in very poor condition. The main function of the port is the replacement of hotel ships and the completion of the stockpiles of hotel ships, which should be delivered directly from a lorry. The supplement includes drinking water and discharging the sewage collected on board.
