In the area of Kelenföld Railway Station there are 4 P+R parking places with nearly 1500 seats. At Kelenföld, Etele tér, next to the extension of the Somogyi road, the P+R facility is built on an empty area owned by MÁV and MNV with 221 fh in the process of construction.Kelenföld, Somogyi út — Gyergyóölgyes street with 247 seats. The parking lot, which was temporarily designed in 2014, will be built with permanent covering and parking availability systems. Construction is currently underway. In Őrmező, next to the terminal of Péterhegyi út, there are 485 places for P+R parking places. The parking lots (parking areas A, B and C) are located in 3 parts of an area of about 12 000 m², 10 disabled and 2 family parking positions are built in addition to the normal erections, as well as 50 bicycles, B+R parking lots are also built. It’s already under construction. On the guardfield side, the 8 unused tracks of MÁV will be replaced by a 500-seat parking lot. The tracks of Kelenföld station XXI-XXVIII will be dismantled and refurbished together with the related stops, overhead contact line, safety equipment and telecommunications network. With the associated road and utilities construction works, the parking lot is being built on 17 112 m² of the area, which can be accessed on foot from the existing pedestrian underpass through a new stairway-lift, and a new road for cars is built for the parking lot. The development includes the installation of a parking access system and a building for the supervision of the car parks, as well as the design of the traffic technology. In addition, the construction/reconstruction of utilities, the construction of public lighting, parking, tree planting and the establishment of camera surveillance systems are also tasks. In the course of the investment, intelligent transport equipment (ITS) will be used, e.g. parking space, traffic lantern nodes, traffic equipment, suitable design for current traffic needs, and the quality of its services can be improved.
