Development of a photovoltaic system at the University of Pannonia

The Pannon University of Veszprém aims to cover a significant part of the use of electricity by means of a small solar power plant with a capacity of 230 kW to be installed on the roofs of the buildings of the Pannon University of Veszprém. During the implementation of the project we plan to build the following system elements: (I) the installation on the flat tops of pre-designed buildings of solar load-bearing structures selected on the basis of a static test and recommendation; (II) the installation of 852 polycrystalline solar panels on previously constructed support structures, taking into account the significant wind load on the site; (III) installation of appropriate inverters approved by the network licensee, close to solar panels and complying with fire safety regulations. We intend to use inverters that are new generation, 3-phase, non-transformer, high-efficiency devices with a wide input voltage range and can be used for continuous monitoring of the energy produced; (IV) installation and connection of DC cable sections to inverters and solar panels; (v) the definition of the physical connection point to the current electricity distribution system, the installation, if necessary, of additional distribution cabinets, the installation of suitable securing equipment; (VI) connecting AC cable sections to inverters and network entry points. The 852 polycrystalline solar panels with a capacity of 270 Wp are placed on the roof surfaces of the buildings of the University of Pannonia according to the following breakdown: Building A: Number of solar panels that can be installed in Southern orientation: 120 pcs 270Wp = 32.4 kWp; Aula Building: Number of solar panels that can be installed in Southern orientation: 279 pcs 270Wp = 75,33 kWp; Building B: Number of solar panels that can be installed in Southern orientation: 300 pcs 270Wp = 81.00 kWp; Building C: Number of solar panels that can be installed in Southern orientation: 153 pcs 270Wp = 50,49 kWp. The electricity produced by solar panels is connected to the internal grid of buildings through the following types of inverters: Fronius SYMO 20.0-3-3 inverters with a nominal output of 0.02 MW and Fronius SYMO 10.0-3-M inverter with a nominal output of 0.01 MW. In terms of project implementation concept, three project phases can be distinguished: (I) at the preparatory stage, the top-level professional concept of the project was defined, the professional content to be implemented, the selection of the external designer involved in the authorisation process and the planning process, the permits to be obtained were identified and requested to obtain them. The Support Request has been compiled and submitted as the closing of the preparation. (II) At the planning stage, with the help of the selected designer, the possible locations are visited, the layout drawings and static plans are drawn up, the construction plan documentation is drawn up, and the procurement procedure for the selection of the contractor is carried out, and contracting. (III) During the implementation project phase, the elements of the photovoltaic system are procured, transported, installed and installed. We also carry out project closure activities, including the preparation and submission of payments and final reports.
