Development of an industrial area in Kiskőrös

Kiskőrös district is a settlement that plays a central role in the area of economic and employment. The economic structure of Kiskőrös is undergoing a significant transformation, and the leading role of the agro-gym is increasingly being taken over by the industrial industry, including metal processing, activity — instrumentation and component manufacturing. With the transformation of the economic structure, attracting investors is a priority. In order to preserve and improve the economic competitiveness of the settlement, it is necessary to create an attractive investment environment in order to establish investors in the municipality. The Municipality does not own an industrial area that has a basic infrastructure suitable for investors to operate a business. However, the revenue from business tax in recent years shows that businesses with their registered office or establishment in Kiskőrös are developing dynamically. In Kiskőrös there is a privately owned industrial park with 6 sites. Companies employing over 100 employees have an establishment in the inner areas of the city, which cannot be expanded. Given the location of the municipality-owned property concerned by the tender — the proximity of the main road 53 — it is ideal for the creation of an industrial area. The new industrial area will be built in 5 ha in the 14.58 ha real estate with a view to its later expansion. The project involves the construction of a public utility network (sewage, drinking water and fire water networks) and an exploratory road. The connection to the municipal drinking water network requires the construction of a 490 m pipeline network. The sewage network is installed over a total of 820 m, together with the construction of 1 waste water bridger. The implementation of the project is also closely linked to the investment promotion programme in the county, to which marketing and communication activities aimed at businesses intending to set up, as well as the creation of a database will contribute. The aim is to develop the region’s economy, create new jobs and thus increase the population retention power of the settlement. Keeping young skilled workers locally has an impact on the quality of the economy. The implementation of the project contributes to the main objective of the TOP-1.1.1-16 Call, which aims to achieve regional economic development through the development of a local business environment. Implementation of the project will also contribute to achieving this objective. The settlement is located in Kiskőrös district, which is the beneficiary district in accordance with Government Decree No 290/2014 (XI.26), and Kiskőrös settlement in 105/2015. It is not listed as a beneficiary municipality in accordance with Government Decree No 15/2018. (II. 13.) According to the Government Decree, it does not qualify as a free business zone, but according to the map in Bács-Kiskun2020 ITP it is part of the Homokhátság. The Beneficiary also undertakes to cooperate on the development of the local employment pact and to cooperate with other actors in the county. The implementation of the project is linked to the development of the local market supported by the previous call TOP-1.1.3-16, which also helps the economic life of the municipality to flourish.
