On the road of millennia, tourism development of the Golden Monastery and Visitors’ Centre

The application will be submitted to the Bács-Kiskún County Area-specific Annex 1.2 a, and to obtain an indicative allocation for the sandbacks and free enterprise zone areas. The genus monastery of Bugac and the unparalleled finds found there are not only the most significant monuments of Hungary. The organisation of the recently discovered genus monastery and its surroundings mean the technical content of the project with a lookout tower, parking lots, a playground, an entrance road called the Hungarian Szentek’s Road, a large event area beside the ruin area, the construction of lavenders, spices and herbal gardens, the construction of the monastery and its surroundings. The functional design of the host building is transparent, clean and practical. Includes elements of a modern visitor center. Due to its ground-floor design, its accessibility is fully and simply solved. Access to the lookout tower is ensured by an elevator. Heating by installing a heat pump is solved. Lighting is done with LED technology. On top of solar field is formed. Its energy efficiency has been solved due to its state-of-the-art technological and structural solutions. The design helps to reduce seasonality, as in addition to the interior exhibition and auditoriums, indoor open spaces will also be created. The interior area of about 1250 square meters includes the rooms for convenient service to visitors. Toilets, including toilets for disabled people, diapers, etc. Children’s work, cafeteria, souvenir shop, kitchenette for staff, office. In order to view the results of the continuous archaeological work, we create a viewable warehouse with the necessary toilets. The exhibition area itself is divided into two distinct parts. One area presents the specific excavation material, processed artifacts, history of construction. The 3D film presenting St. Peter’s relic holder, which is also a European sensation, will be screened here, which follows the results of the several years of studies and their stages. The reconstruction of the relic holder will be completed, which can be handed over. In addition, a film presenting the history of the monastery’s construction, the construction and operation of the contemporary society can be viewed here, using 3D technology in an extremely entertaining way. This area will also be suitable for lectures. While in the previous area section, the other area is already fully interactivity. An interactive treasury is set up here, which includes partly virtual and partly reconstructed treasure elements, which can be handed over as part of a museum educational guide. The procedure itself (e.g. using thread gloves, masks, etc.) corresponds to the procedures related to the original works of art, so that the concept of value can be acquired. This exhibition unit includes copies of weapons and clothing of the era, armor, which can be tried and held in hand. Since this age is the age of the Crusades, we present the garments and weapons of the Crusaders, II. András, including the King of Hungary who led the 5th Crusade. We can virtually tour the Árpád Age environment, which in no way resembles the present-day environment, and we can get to the Kingdom of Heaven with a virtual compass following the events. This is where a 360-degree screened virtual film will be presented, with the help of which we can enter the former cathedral, monastery, walk through the gardens, the once so rich settlement. The film made using theoretical reconstruction serves as a real sensation. The material of the exhibitions is produced with the help of the best scientific experts, art historians and archaeologists in the country. The rest of the development is to organise the environment of the monastery. The historical garden, which also functions as a recreation park, is renewed with employing points. With main road connection, more than 15,000 square meters of the environment is organised and built, bus, car parking, bicycle base, playground, fireplace and resting places, toilets and buffets for external programs. An observation tower is built from which the environment can be seen up to the horizon. The pedestrian path connecting the visitors‘centre to the settlement is also renovated, and a stop for the scheduled bus is located in front of the visitors’ reception centre next to the main road. The 5/4 statue of two Hungarian saints, István and László, created in the spirit of the Roman School, will be placed at the departure of the Saints’ Road leading to the monastery. The twenty-three saints of Hungary accompany the visitors with a sign and column to the western gate of the monastery, in front of which the Ecce Homo 5/4 is placed on a high postamens. The way up is surrounded by a resting field, benches and pergolas. The monastery receives a horticultural order, the preservation of the ruins takes place.
