Tourism development in the “Looking Homeland”

The application will be implemented by the Municipality of Lucky City. The aim of the tender is to make a significant contribution to the development of the tourist attraction of the settlement, to the increase of the time spent there and to increase the utilisation of tourism developments in the settlement and in the region in recent years, taking into account the experience of previous developments. In this way, the project can be an important component not only of the applicant city but also of the tourist offer of a wider region. As a result of the developments, tourists can spend a longer time in the settlement, with the involvement of private enterprises, providing tourist services that contribute to the development of the area and the locality by creating jobs. The investment would ensure the emergence of new tourism target groups in the region. Part of the business plan is the introduction of this target group (cultural and interactive recreation) who appear as new actors in the region. The Chocolate Panopticum is a unique opportunity in the region. A detailed description of the destination resulting from this new offer can be found in the business plan. The development contributes to the 6 priority objectives of BAZ county ITP, which is described in detail in the business plan. When selecting the sites, we kept in mind the networked, multi-stakeholder, multi-stakeholder implementation, which encourages you to learn about the values, sights and tourism services of the settlements and offer programmes. Within the framework of the project, package development of regional tourism products will also be realised, as the development of the infrastructural background of the events, the creation of new attractions based on the cultural features of the region (guesting spaces, exhibition halls), the development of regional networks and thematic routes based on cultural attractions, development of existing ones and development of active tourism related to fishing tourism are also realised. It was an important criterion for the selection of the sites to be easily accessible by bicycle (planned by TOP-3.1.1) or by public transport. In the Rákóczi Castle we implement the development of the infrastructural background of the events (audio and light technology, stage) and the development of the kitchen technology and equipment of the Castle restaurant. In the property next to the Castle and in the fortress garden, parking and community space will be established. The refurbishment of the old sugar warehouse building has already been carried out from a previous tender. In the course of this tender, we intend to implement the interior design and the creation of functions. This building is the Tourism Centre, which hosts the exhibition hall of the Chocolate Panoptikum (including the purchase of equipment), the interactive playground and the establishment of the service background for visitors-friendly, high-quality tourist reception. The third place for those looking for active relaxation is the Lake, where we create fishing opportunities, a relaxing park and a playground. The planned investments contribute to the reduction of seasonality, as the rest park is waiting for visitors all year round, while the Chocolate Panoptikum service units are waiting for visitors all year except for public holidays. Development contributes to the economic diversification of the region, which reduces social and social disparities between the region and the settlement. The risk management of the investments carried out by the development was expanded in the business plan. According to Annex 3 to Government Decree No 290/2014 (XI.26.)The planned project will be implemented in the district to be developed. Tourism development is directly linked to the “Szerencsi Chocolate” included in the highlighted list of Hungarian National Values. During the implementation, cooperation will be carried out with civil society organisations, local supplier systems and 3 existing attractions. The cooperation agreement is annexed to the business plan. The development contributes to the acquisition, sale, localisation of regional resources, the economic self-sufficiency of local communities, which is presented in the business plan. The planned development is related to other tourism services, existing attractions, which were presented in the business plan. According to the City ITS in the district of Szerencs, the number of registered nights spent in 2014 is more than 6200 volts. Our goal is that the development to be carried out should increase the county statistics, the implementation of which was reported in the business plan. The project is linked to the National Chocolate Festival, which has been regularly organised for years. In 2016, we expect 42000 people. Thanks to the festival, people identify the settlement with chocolate at the hearing of the name of Szerencs, across the border and beyond.
