Separate geographical target area: Indicative allocation for Tokaj-Hegyalja — Zemplén region within the framework of this project, the Municipality of Sárospatak Municipality aims to implement a complex active tourism project aimed at the tourism utilisation and development of the Megyer Hill sea eye, a local, regionally important natural resource that is a tourist attraction, in order to diversify the region’s economy, to revitalise the local economy and to increase employment. For a long time, the management of the city has been planning to develop the environment of this valuable ecotourism attraction, to significantly improve the accessibility of the place and to actively develop the content of the currently passive tourist destination with the elements providing a lasting pastime, while at the same time breaking the sensitive balance between the built and the natural environment as little as possible. During the project preparation period (February-April 2016), the involvement of the social partners, relevant professional partners, the preparation of technical concept plans and the preparation of the business plan of the project were implemented. During the project development period, the technical content of the project will be finalised with a time schedule corresponding to the definition of the 3.2.4 Milesstones and the expectations of each milestone, i.e. within 12 months of the entry into force of the grant agreement, the marketing strategy, the environmental impact assessment, the cycling maintenance plan, the final technical planning documentation will be completed and the property relations of the relevant properties affected by the development will be settled by the Municipality. The procurement for the works will be completed within 15 months of the entry into force of the grant contract. After the successful completion of the public procurement for the execution of the works, actual land preparation and construction works can be carried out as of July 2017. Taking into account the activities eligible under the call for proposals, we plan the implementation of the following project elements for the active tourism development of Megyer-hegyi Sea Eye: 1. Installation of a resting area: From the junction of Botkői main road No. 37 you can approach the Megyer Hill Sea Eye through a municipal vineyard road. Property 0807 owned by the municipality is located in the area of Botkői Parkerdő, owned by the North Forest, an ideal place for starting a resting point. 2. Development of cycling and transport infrastructure: The development element is carried out on the municipal-owned anonymous dirt road No. 0809, 7795, 7639. Our plan is to create a stabilised pavement and implement bicycle road development at 1606 fm. 3. Establishment of a recreation park: The project element is implemented on property No 7640/2, currently owned by Pajzos-Megyer Zrt. but planned to be purchased by the Municipality. The rest park is the last point of the Malomkő educational path, which can be reached by bicycle or by road, from here the way to the sea is only possible on foot. For this reason, we undertake to create a major rest park, which includes the construction of a large filagory (rainway, dining room), a fireplace (with bacon oven, burger), as well as the installation of rest benches, selective waste collection islands, fixed indoor bicycle storage and environmentally friendly composting toilets. 4. Organisation of walking paths: The development element is carried out on the forest road No. 7679 owned by the municipality. In the framework of the project element, we will place information boards showing the protected plant and bird species of the Natura 2000 area, as well as outdoor waste collectors, and implement landscaping of the accident-threatening sections of the walkways. 5. Attraction development: The project element will be implemented on property owned and managed by local authorities under Decree 0878/2. On property 0878/2, on the rock walls of the Sea Eye, 2 via ferrata roads (one light and a medium difficulty) and 30 climbing paths are built, a storage shed is created, a small rainport is created, and after the restoration and reinforcement of the mining apartments we create an interactive exhibition space for the history of the Sea Eye. On the flat forest terrain at the high point of the Sea Eye, we are developing a 13 station forest cableway with 60 obstacles. On the property we also have a 12 m tall forest view rising above the canopy level of the trees. In accordance with the project construction works, project management, technical control, mandatory marketing activities, the provision of mandatory information and publicity, as well as project audit at the closure of the project, according to the timetable set out in chapter 4.6 of the business plan.
