Sustainable urban transport development in Hajdúböszörmény

I. Objective of the project: The basic objective of this project is to realise the investment to strengthen the conditions of sustainable transport in Hajdúböszörmény, which contributes to the mitigation of climate change, the reduction of CO2 emissions and the development of a liveable urban environment. II. The professional-technical content of the project, together with the presentation of the scope of the selected self-eligible and non-eligible activities The complex, mutually reinforcing project activities are as follows: 1. In the framework of a cycling-friendly development, the transport road network of a settlement is transformed into a cyclist-friendly by designating and constructing bicycle traffic facilities. In particular: Bocskai square, School street: designation of a cycling zone from the intersection of Arad utca Bethlen Gábor utca — School Street to the Hunyadi János Boulevard construction of a cycle path: — construction of the first section of the street with a system of walking and cycling, — the construction of a combined footpath and cycle path on the other side of the street. 2. Modernisation of the existing bicycle traffic facility in the context of a related metier. In particular: Refurbishment of the existing independent, two-way bicycle road between Béla Bartók — Vajda János Street along main road no. 35, which means the renovation and standardisation of the accident-threatening pavement. 3. Use of innovative cycling-friendly technical solutions in the context of a related activity group, including renewable energy sources: Installation of WiFi and charging point with bench, solar power supply (SMART solution) along the designated cycle path within the framework of this project. 4. As part of the project, a road safety awareness-raising campaign will be implemented. As part of this, a road safety competition, a road safety information stand and a playhouse, awareness-raising sessions for kindergarten, schoolchildren, and road safety-related coloring booklets will be published as planned. III. During the planning of the project, special attention was paid to the fulfilment of the technical-professional conditions set out in point 3.2 of the call for proposals. The investment promotes the promotion of sustainable modes of transport (cycling, public transport), taking into account the needs of all users. It contains several implementation sites and investment elements not physically linked to each other. A feasibility study will be carried out for the project. From Bocskai Square to Hunyadi János Boulevard, the transport road network of the given part of the settlement (Belváros, area outside Kiskörút) becomes friendly. The project has no foreseeable climate risk. IV. Compliance with the conditions laid down in point of the criteria for assessment of the content of the notice 1. Matching the objectives of the TOP: 1.1.: The long-term strategic goal of the development concept set out in the present aid application is to strengthen the conditions for sustainable transport in the city of Hajdúböszörmény, which contributes to the mitigation of climate change, the reduction of CO2 emissions and the creation of a liveable urban environment. In particular, the construction of a bicycle road, the designation of a cycling zone, the renovation of the existing cycle path, the establishment of a WiFi and a charging point from the municipal side are carried out as a smart solution. The project also includes the implementation of a road safety awareness-raising campaign. 1.2.: The project promotes the infrastructural conditions of labour mobility through the development of a bicycle-friendly transport road network, thereby having a positive impact on employment and the local economy. 2. Professional justification, demand and utilisation 2.1. Target commitment: 1.05 km (length of new bicycle traffic facilities built or designated in km) 2.2. Complies with: A) (a) making the transport road network of the settlement part a cyclist friendly by designating and constructing bicycle traffic facilities 2.3. All the activities of this project are listed in point 3.1 of the call. 2.4. In accordance with the section “detailed professional content of the development” section. 2.5.
