Taking these factors into account, our project mainly aims to make the transport cycling-friendly and safe by building the outskirts of the bike path between Mátészalka and Nyírmeggyes. It thus contributes to the objectives of the call in several ways: on the one hand, it allows people living in and coming from neighbouring settlements to use an environmentally friendly form of transport by building a cycle path — it seeks to make the use of bicycles more comfortable and safe, and by means of awareness-raising actions to encourage people and those working in neighbouring municipalities to prioritise sustainable modes of transport. Therefore, within the framework of the project, transport development measures that create and strengthen the conditions for sustainable transport can be implemented in our settlement, as well as between Mátészalka-Nyírmeggyes, which contribute to the mitigation of climate change, the reduction of CO2 emissions and the creation of a liveable urban and urban environment.
