a) The aim of the project is to: The renewal of Jászberény, Petőfi Square and its surroundings, the creation of parking spaces, the improvement of road safety, the removal of a bicycle break point in order to increase the level of sustainable public transport. B) The technical content of the project, together with the presentation of the scope of the selected self-eligible and non-eligible activities The call 3.1.1 self-eligible activities A) Cycling-friend development a) Conversion of the transport road network of whole settlements or settlements into cyclists-friends by designating and constructing bicycle traffic facilities. Cycling: The continuation of the separated walking and cycling path running on the southern side of Rákóczi út will be continued as a biking lane by rebuilding the Thököly street junction to the intervention border, the first pedestrian crossing point to the east of the station (133 m), which will later be connected to the bicycle road on Lehel, thereby eliminating the break point of one of the city’s priority cycling road, integrating and connecting the area of the main square with the bus station, connecting the city to the major and currently under construction (TOP-3.1,1-15 Bicycle friendly developments in Jászberény). The development aims to connect the existing cycling road network to the west of Rákóczi-Thököly junction (railway station) to the west of the bus station (stone bridge). As the development takes place in the centre of the city, the resulting wheelbar road network and additional cycling friendly solutions (supports, barrier-free transport, etc.), bus transfer make it easier to reach the economic establishments located in the outskirts of the city, the time to go to work is reduced, while comfort and safety is increased in the road users. B) traffic reduction, road safety and accessibility b) traffic reduction in order to achieve sustainable urban transport and a more liveable urban and urban environment in accordance with its subsection: Objectives, planning aspects: — creating the conditions for sustainable public transport; — optimal design for bus station and car traffic roads, ensuring safe transport; — orderly establishment of pedestrian zones, provision of all necessary pedestrian traffic directions, provision of waiting areas; — the construction of a bicycle road on the side of Rákóczi Road, the placing of bicycle arrival points, bicycle storage facilities; — raising the quality of the built environment; — improvement of the quality of covered surfaces; — refurbishing and increasing green surfaces; — application of plants with favourable insights; — creating a uniform image, high-quality, aesthetic and vandal-proof spatial objects (benches, room lighting, bicycle storage facilities, waste bins); — mainstreaming accessibility aspects in spatial planning. Pedestrian transport: The pedestrians can be crossed through the road with three new pedestrian crossings: the road connecting Rákóczi út — Moon Street, the junction of Rákóczi út in Palotási János Street, and the junctions of Hold utca — Palotás János Street. Jászberény, Rákóczi út-Thököly street intersection. The aim of the development is to: With the development of the node, the elimination of the current accident hub and the creation of an orderly, organised traffic flow during peak periods. With the renovation of the pavement and the organisation of traffic with a traffic light, the traffic at the intersection becomes transparent and the timetable for public transport is more predictable. C) In accordance with the objectives set out in subsection of public road transport: a) Development of traffic buildings and traffic tracks: The concept plan concerns the reconstruction of the environment of the bus station in Petőfi Square. The preliminary transport study is the starting point for planning. In this version, larger green spaces and organised urban spaces can be created on both sides of the central station building. The aim is to increase the green surfaces of the area, to promote safe and accident-free cycling and public transport, as well as to rehabilitate the city centre, to develop a more liveable city, to develop intermodal connections related to road transport, decentrums, transfer points, and to build certain elements of the travel chains. E.g.: B+R, R & R car parks and development and integration of the existing cycling road network through the investment. Delimitation of the area: The decisive element of the design area is the station building on an independent building plot in the central part of the square and its immediate surroundings. On the north side of Rákóczi street is the planning border, on the south side the Moon Street and the planning area belong to Palotási János Street to the junction of Kossuth Lajos Street. The area covered by the concept plan is approximately 8 350 m². b) Traffic control, passenger information
