Energy modernisation of municipal buildings in Sárospatak

In line with the Europe 2020 strategy, the National Energy Strategy 2030 and our country’s objectives, the Municipality of Sárospatak has given high priority to promoting sustainability, with particular emphasis on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and maximising the potential of the transition to renewable resources. In the framework of the present project, the complex energy development of 4 institutional buildings, 100 % owned by the Municipality of Sárospatak, performing a public function eligible under this call will be realised. Project implementation sites and content of the investment: 1. Sárospataki Care Center Living Room with Disabilities (3950 Sárospatak, Borsi út 73 hrsz. 1473.) Function: Day-time employer of disabled persons Maintenance: Municipality of Sárospatak Designed investment: building energy development, increasing energy efficiency, modernisation of the mechanical system. Given the special health and other mobility conditions of building users (people with disabilities), the investment has been timed in such a way that the renovation works do not coincide with unfavourable weather conditions, heating seasons or major urban tourist events, such as the Sárospataki Care Centre and its maintainer, the city, can easily find a temporary alternative to the temporary relocation of tasks during the construction works. We plan to implement the complex energy investment on the given building from 25.03.2018 to 30.06.2018. 2. Sárospataki Care Center Seniors Club (3950 Sárospatak, Kossuth L. u. 5. hrsz. 529) Function: Day club of the elderly Maintenance: Municipality of Sárospatak Designed investment: building energy development, energy efficiency improvement, engineering system upgrade. In view of the special health and other mobility conditions of building users (aged people), the investment has been timed in such a way that the renovation works do not coincide as far as possible with unfavourable weather conditions, heating seasons or major urban events, such as the Sárospataki Care Centre and its maintainer, the city, can easily find a temporary alternative to the temporary relocation of tasks during the construction works. We plan to implement the complex energy investment on the given building from 01.07.2017 to 15.10.2017. 3. Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Nursery School, Primary School, Special Vocational School, College and Uniform Medical Paedagogical Institute Sárospataki Member Institution (3950 Sárospatak, Nagy Lajos u. 10 hrsz. 1857/5) Function: School building of primary educational institution Maintenance: Klebelsberg Kunó Institution Maintenance Centre Planned investment: complex building energy development by increasing energy efficiency, modernising the mechanical system, building a solar system and modernising the lighting system of the building. We plan to implement the complex energy investment on the given building from 01.06.2017 to 30.09.2017 in order to ensure that the mandatory academic year is affected as much as possible by the construction works. For the duration of the physical construction, we declare the property to be a building site, so it is of utmost importance that during the public procurement procedure we conclude a contract with a contractor who can carry out the construction work quickly, accurately and precisely during the summer holidays. 4. New Bastion Centre of the House and Library of Culture (3950 Sárospatak, Szent Erzsébet u. 3 hrsz: 384) Function 1: regularly used community space Function 2: cultural and scientific exhibition hall Municipality of Sárospatak Designed investment: the energy investment is planned from 06.05.2018 until 31.08.2018 on the given building. During the renovation period, community, cultural events, conferences and exhibitions are held in the open air or in the main building of the House of Culture and Library. After its implementation, primary energy consumption is projected to be reduced, greenhouse gas emissions reduced in absolute terms, and energy carrier savings. As a result of the project, the annual primary energy consumption of public buildings is reduced: 454 636.88 kWh/year, energy from renewable sources 118,44 GJ/year, estimated annual reduction of greenhouse gases: 120,48 CO2 equivalent (t). Training: The users of the 4 affected buildings will be provided 1-1 times in the month of closing the project with the help of an energy expert 3 hours information on the technical solutions, the correct operation of the modernised mechanical, lighting and new solar panel systems, and the expected environmental benefits. In order to help self-study, we will place 10 brochures per site and a professional subpage available on the city’s website during the maintenance period. The project has no foreseeable climate risk.
