Development of the infrastructure background of cultural events in Győr

The aim of the project is to: The general objective of the project is to increase the number of tourists visiting the area, the time spent there, the services used and ultimately the tourist turnover. Its direct and priority objective is to exploit the cultural and heritage values and venues of the historical centre of Győr, both external and indoor, by developing the infrastructure background of high-quality cultural events and festivals. It can be defined as a strategic goal in the long term, in addition to improving tourist indicators (number of guests’ nights, average length of stay, etc.), increasing the comfort of the population, connecting to the place of residence and helping to stay. With the development of the infrastructure background of the events, on the one hand, the developed events will have a higher enjoyment value and a higher quality of customer service can be achieved and, on the other hand, urban events can be independent from external market providers. The acquisition of assets eliminates the vulnerability of the Municipality to market service providers. It is also expected to minimise the risks of dependence. Significant cost reductions compared to market prices can be achieved by leasing within the institutional system. As a result of the development of infrastructure, the quality of each event increases, which can lead to an increase in the number of guests. The increase in the number of guests strengthens Győr’s Hungarian and international tourist position. The acquisition of new assets also reduces the costs of implementing the programmes, as expenditure on the rental of assets is reduced. At the same time, more or more high-quality programmes can be financed from the same budget. In the long term, the maintenance and operation of the assets to be procured creates jobs. The aim of the call is to allow tourists to spend a longer period of time in the area as a result of the development and to contribute to the development of the region by creating jobs. This project contributes to the longer stay in order to ensure the improvement of the quality of the events with the tools to be procured. In the short term, the increase in quality generates a smaller and longer-term increase in the number of guests. As the quality rises, it is possible not only to increase the number of guests, but also to achieve longer stays. With the programs and events, it is possible to ensure that the guest extends his/her free time in a busy period. The maintenance and operation of the infrastructure to be procured will inevitably create new jobs directly and indirectly create new jobs in tourism and hospitality due to increased traffic and an increase in the number of overnight stays. The technical and technical content of the project, together with a description of the scope of the activities selected by the applicant for the grant and which are not eligible independently, optional or mandatory: The essence of the development concept is to exploit the cultural and heritage sites of the historic city centre, both indoor and outdoor, by developing the infrastructural background of high-quality cultural events and festivals. With the implementation of the project, the goal is to create a tourist product that is part of cultural and heritage protection, which, with its uniqueness and high quality, becomes an outstanding attraction that forms the central element of Győr’s cultural and heritage offer. Name of the tourism product to be created: “A city, a thousand experiences — Győr dressed in Baroque splendor”. The flagship festivals of Győr’s tourism offer cover a full calendar year, providing a whole year of relaxation for the local population, as well as for local and foreign tourists visiting the city. These flagship events are part of cultural and heritage protection in terms of their theme and programmes, and are part of the cultural and heritage events, themes of which include memories and evidence of the history of mankind, the Hungarian nation and Hungary. All events are highly visited, popular regional, national or international cultural events. The tourist product “One city, a thousand experiences — Győr dressed in Baroque splendor” to be developed consists of the following events: The Győr Spring Festival takes place in March of each year, starting from the start of the national holiday, offering programs for those interested until the end of the month. The festival has been held more than 20 times. Its folk music, painting and theatre cultural events and exhibitions attract visitors from all over the country, and the youngest generation can get acquainted with the old traditions. The programs take place in the historical city centre, in several locations, including Dunakapu Square, Arany János Street, Bartók Béla Cultural Center, R
