The aim of the project is to exploit the landscape and built environmental values of Dunaújváros for tourist purposes in accordance with the Integrated Urban Development Strategy of the City of Dunaújváros. The development of two project elements will contribute to the diversification of the region’s economy in order to stimulate the local economy and increase employment, as well as to overwrite the current picture “Dunaújváros = Industrial City” and to transcode cultural and tourism. Mondbach Mansion, currently unused and protected by monuments (implementation site: Dunaújváros, Magyar utca 35 topographic number: 1449/4) and the development of its environment is a priority project in the life of the old town of Dunaújváros, Pentele, which simultaneously creates an outstanding opportunity for the development of a cultural, civil society and tourism centre, the strengthening of the historical identity of Dunaújváros and the foundation of further tourism, commercial and job creation developments. In the building complex, restored and renovated in accordance with the protection of the monuments, the event halls, exhibition halls and studios also include a café. As part of the development, the inner courtyard will also be parked and facilities accessible. With the unique plant collection of the Arboretum and Tanösvény on Baracsi út, Dunaújváros’s natural heritage is a special colour spot, a protected area of local importance. The aim of the project is to develop the entire area of the arboretum into a tourist attraction by using two degraded properties along the educational path. As part of the development, a community space, visitor centre for active recreation and recreation in one of the buildings (implementation site: Dunaújváros, Baracsi út 47. 664), in the other building (implementation site: Dunaújváros, Baracsi út #45: 663/16) smaller multifunctional rooms are designed. In our project we implement the following activities: 3.1.1 Self-eligible activities: A) Tourism development of major cultural and heritage sites in the region a) Development of existing attractiveness building on the cultural features of the region: Refurbishment, exhibition and exhibition spaces and multifunctional premises related to the tourist exploitation and presentation of cultural heritage; The creation of conditions for tourist reception, the establishment of reception spaces, the development and extension of visitor-friendly functions, and the establishment of the necessary service background for high-quality tourist reception; Technical developments, interactive presentation forms, which are elements of experience; Creating and developing weather independent or target group specific supply elements.
